The holiday is said to have started because March 25th is the day on which the Christian holiday of the Annunciation falls, and waffles were traditionally eaten on this day in Sweden.



Waffle Day is celebrated in many different ways around the world. In Sweden, it is common for people to eat waffles with whipped cream and jam. In the United States, waffles are often served with syrup and butter, while in Belgium they are typically eaten with chocolate sauce or fruit.

Regardless of how you like to eat your waffles, Waffle Day is a great excuse to indulge in this delicious breakfast food!
